It is expected to come with a 30–35 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, delivering an estimated real-world range of around 300–350 km on a single charge. The electric motor is likely to produce around 95–120 PS and support fast charging, allowing 80% charge in under 60 minutes using a DC charger.
Smart Features and Premium Cabin
Inside, the Altroz EV will offer a modern and connected cabin loaded with features. Highlights may include a 7-inch or 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, and Tata’s iRA connected car suite. The electric version is also expected to come with a rotary drive selector and blue ambient lighting, giving it a clean and tech-focused vibe.
High on Safety and Tata’s Signature Build Quality
Tata Motors is known for its commitment to safety, and the Altroz EV will follow the same philosophy. Based on the ALFA architecture, which has earned a 5-star rating for the ICE Altroz, the EV will offer dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera, ESP, and brake energy regeneration as standard. Tata may also offer TPMS and ISOFIX mounts in higher variants.
Launch Timeline and Expected Price
The Tata Altroz EV is expected to launch in mid to late 2025, with testing already underway on Indian roads. It is likely to be priced between ₹11 lakh and ₹14 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an affordable electric hatchback with premium features and solid range. Once launched, it will compete with the upcoming Citroen eC3 Air, MG Comet EV (top variants), and even entry-level versions of the Nexon EV.
